Best Time to Visit

Jaipur has a very hot and dry desert climate. During the summer months from April to June, temperatures rise to 40 degree Celsius or more. The most pleasant time to visit Jaipur is during the winter, from November until March. Winter temperatures average 25 degrees Celsius. Nights can be very chilly though, with temperatures dropping to 5 degrees Celsius in January.

Day 1  ------------------------------------------------

I started my journey from Ambala cantt to Jaipur by the train. I was very excited to explore this heritage city, visit fort and Tasty Rajasthani food. I booked my hotel very close to pink city as everything is near from there. After reaching Jaipur, I booked a cab from Jaipur railway station to my hotel. Because of a very long journey, I decided to relax and explore Jaipur from the next day.

Day 2  ------------------------------------------------

Hawa Mahal

First, i Visited Hawa Mahal ( The palace of winds ) which is a 5 story beautiful building having 953 windows through which air flows and keeps the palace cool. This was made to facilitate an airy palace for the women. I spent almost 1 hr there and clicked some pictures. Then I walked towards the city palace.

City Palace

The City Palace in Jaipur which is a royal house having amazing architecture shows a beautiful blend of Rajput, European and Mughal style. The main thing which is quite iconic, is the set of royal archway doors located in the centre. They have a café which serves up some amazing melt in the middle chocolate muffins and you can see some traditional puppet shows. While in Jaipur you can not miss the City Palace as this is the landmark and the center point. After that, I went to Jantar Mantar which is very close to City palace.

Jal Mahal

Ended my day by capturing the iconic view of Jal Mahal situated in the middle of Mansagar Lake which is very amazing. Apart from the small market stalls and camel rides there is not much else to do at the Jal Mahal. A typical visit to the Jal Mahal will be less than 30 minutes, enough time to take some photos.
